A SAN (Storage area network) is made up of multiple storge servers that are connected together. This allows for high speed access to redundant storage. Ideal for enterprise application such as a database. A NAS (network attached storage) can still provide redundant and backup features. Its more of a standalone system that’s geared more for home and small business use.Load balancing serves to equally distribute a load among multiple servers. This helps to prevent any one server from being overworked.
